The dates for the NEFHRC Fall Hunt Test have changed. Due to numerous conflicts, the Fall Hunt Test is now scheduled for the weekend of September 6 & 7. This is the weekend after Labor Day and as far as we can tell, conflicts with no other tests or events.
We are in the process of finalizing the location. As soon as everything is set, we will make a firm announcement and will post the premium. As with last time, entries can be made via Entry Express to expedite processing.
Please keep watch on the blog for further information!
The July 2014 Newsletter has been posted to the Newsletters Page.
It has been brought to my attention that in the past week there has been people hunting at whisper creek. No one has permission to use fire arms with live ammo at Whisper Creek. I was told that 3 of our club members stopped the hunters and ask them to leave on 3 different occasions. Thank you and Good Job!! If this happens again the property owners want us to call the police and report it. Please call me asap also.
If you have any questions concerns or comments please let me know.
Thank you,

If you’d like to attend and need accommodations, and want to stay at the Holiday Inn – call soon. It is the busy season; as of Friday, I believe they had only about a half dozen rooms available.
If attendees are interested, we can order boxed lunches from the Honey Baked Ham shop and eat in.
The website calendar has been updated. The menu at the top of each page no longer includes a link for “Calendar”, but instead includes a link for “Events”. This is the link to the new calendar.
There are a number of improvements with this new calendar:
Despite all the added features above, there are one or two peculiarities:
In that vein, the Event calendar has been updated to include Hunt Tests scheduled and posted through November 2014. Be sure to check out the new Event calendar for all events scheduled.
As always, if you have any problems or questions/comments, please forward them to me at webmaster@nefhrc.net.
Hi Everyone,
We will be having a meeting on Wednesday June 25th at 6:30pm at Jacksonville Gander Mountain. I urge every one to attend. We will be discussing and voting on a number of club matters.
Also our Fall Hunt Test is just around the corner. We have a lot of positions that need to be filled. Please think about and let me know what area you would like to help or learn about. We, as a club, run this test and need every one to help out where ever they feel comfortable and can.
Also, we have a lot of conflicts on the weekend of the Fall Hunt Test for this year and the next 2 years, which may require a change of our Hunt Date. As you know, the Hunt Test weekend is Halloween weekend (Friday), Florida/Georgia game weekend, and the AKC Treasure Coast Hunt test weekend. I would like everyone’s input on this matter. Please attend the meeting for discussion or call me with your concerns.
The National HRC meeting was last week end. I would like to let everyone know about the meeting and things that were discussed and voted on there.

Altamaha Retriever Club, along with Eukanuba, is sponsoring a great training/health two-day event on June 21-22, 2014. In addition to hunt test/field trial training, it is a wonderful opportunity to get health testing/certification done.
For more details, please download the flyer at http://nefhrc.net/documents/june-21-workshop.pdf. If interested, please contact Jacob Weaver at jacobweaver@bellsouth.net and/or register as soon as possible. They must have a minimum of 40 dogs in order to secure the physicians to perform eye and cardiac testing!
Please note, the event has been moved from Jessup to Mossy Pond Retrievers Lodge in Offerman, GA.
We encourage you to download the flyer (which was also included in this month’s newsletter) to see the great opportunities available at this weekend event.
