We are a club devoted to the training of bird hunting dogs for the purposes of hunting and hunt tests. As the UKC says, we are a club "Conceived by hunters for hunters."

The January training day is scheduled for Sunday, January 22, 2012 at Whisper Creek beginning at 1:00 p.m.
On Feb. 3rd and 4th we will be holding a Steven Durrence Training Seminar at Whisper Creek. The seminar will start Friday evening at around 6pm with dinner and a tutorial around 7pm by Steven to follow. We will then pick up where we left off at 8am in the morning and the seminar will go through the day. The seminar will cover the basics of training a retriever (i.e. obedience, hold, force fetch, collar conditioning, steadying, and marking).
The cost of the seminar will be $20 per member and $50 per non-member, which includes a one year membership (new membership only - membership renewals not applicable). Friday night dinner and Saturday lunch will also be included in that price. If you are planning on attending you must register by January 27th. If your interested in being a dog/handler team please contact me directly. We will only be taking dog/handler teams that fit the seminar. The cost of a dog/handler team will be $100. As some of you already know we are leasing the Whisper Creek property and our lease agreement requires us to mow the right of ways and lake banks 4 times per year.
If you would like, you can donate towards the mowing using PayPal. If you have a PayPal account, just log-in to PayPal and select "Send Money". To contribute money for mowing, just use the e-mail address "webmaster@nefhrc.net" and specify the amount you'd like to send. In the comment box, you can state "for mowing" and type your name.
